Funds put in Action
In 2025, FoL dedicated funds raised from Brazos Valley Gives to the 1000 Books before Kindergarten early literacy program.
$30,000 purchased 1000 books and 100 backpacks to be housed at Mounce.
Now the BCS Public Library has 100 backpacks at both Ringer and Mounce libraries.
On 9/1, FoL volunteers filled the backpacks. The program kicks off at Mounce on 9/26/26.

*Create an online account at Kroger.com with your Kroger Plus Card.
*Choose Savings, then Kroger Community Rewards under the menu in the upper left-hand corner.
*Search for the Bryan + College Station Friends of the Library or enter WC359 to link your card to the Friends. Click save.
*Every time you use your Kroger card to shop for groceries the Friends automatically earn a rebate.
